Additional details about the NGP
Kaz Hirai mentioned additional details about the NGP, Sony plans to release multiple versions of the hardware, including Wi-Fi only and 3G + Wi-Fi models. The company is currently negotiating with carriers in various territories on rate plans and fees. With regards to phone features, he said it doesn't make sense to use NGP as a phone due to its shape, it would require a headset. Hirai also provided additional info on the system:
* Battery life is unavailable because the system is still in prototype phases
* NGP is compatible with existing PSP software, it runs PSP games through emulation
* PSP games can only be downloaded to the NGP, those who already have downloaded PSP titles can re-download them to NGP (you must be within the download number limits imposed by PSN)
* NGP does not run on Android OS, it uses a customized OS
* NGP games will ship on custom flash based memory cards, it is a ROM with rewritable space for storing game saves and DLC
* NGP will support general memory cards as well
* Current NGP model does not support video output

Apple vs Android
Apple is Very Afraid of Android
Claiming a 25% market share globally already, there are no signs that the growth of Android is coming to an end anytime soon, market researchers from Canalys said.
Around The World
In the rest of the world, where Nokia is dominant and Apple is available more widely, Android’s 16% market share is only slightly bigger than Apple’s 14%.
Looking at the longer term, it’s easy to see that Android will overtake Apple in almost every respect. Consumers want competitively priced handsets, and access to an open app ecosystem. Android Phones offer substantially more for less. Just like you can get more bang for your buck with a PC, you can also get more phone for your money with Android. Further supporting the growth of Android around the world is the fact that there are numerous top tier manufacturers that have publicly stated their commitment to producing quality touchscreen low priced Android Phones.
As Android continues to explode worldwide, developers will have even greater incentive to introduce high quality apps for the benefit of every Android phone user.
The Research Shows
A new report created by leading research firm Canalys shows that Android OS will achieve double the growth of competitors like Apple’s iOS, BlackBerry OS, and Symbian over the year 2011. Despite what many are saying about the release of iPhone on Verizon, leading analysts are saying this will do nothing to hamper Android’s immense and staggering ascent to the top spot.
Other issues such as fragmentation (different versions of the operating system) have always been a heated topic from a development standpoint, but will do little to slow down the worldwide adoption of Android. Most recently, Android surpassed iOS in terms of overall Ad Impressions in the United States. This observation serves to further compliment the idea that Android is going to be the biggest mobile smartphone O/S in the very near future.
Principal Analyst Chris Jones had this to say about Android’s growth
The growth of Android has been phenomenal, as well the number of related devices launched with different hardware and software specifications. This has led to the market perception of it as a fragmented platform, though we believe that growth will continue as the pace of Android OS upgrades slows.
Android will grow more than twice the rate of major competitors in 2011
Android will continue to grow at more than twice the rate of its major smart phone competitors in 2011, despite concern over fragmentation and the arrival of the iPhone 4 on Verizon in the US. According to Canalys Q3 2010 estimates, the Google-backed platform already claims a 25% share of the worldwide smart phone market, with over 20 million shipments of Android-based worldwide.
The growth of Android has been phenomenal, and the number of Android devices launched with different hardware has been equally stunning.

Price: RM2099
Extra: 23 Gift!!!! So many! Just look at my picture
Really worth to buy. Great Specs with nice price.
When I get home, I just repartition all my Hard Drive, format and install Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3.
All the drivers can be found from Lenovo Support website here:
http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/my/en/DriversDownLoads/Drivers.html
All drivers seem ok, but there are some problem with audio driver installation.
For Windows XP SP3, the audio driver installation should follow this step to make it a success installation. btw, mine is Conexant Audio Driver 3.91.0.0.
1) Install Net ramework 3.5
2) Install XP SP3 Hotfix kb888111.exe
But there are some problem to install this hotfix since I already at SP3. I'll get this message when try to install the Hotfix:
Funny thing is Microsoft forgot to include "Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio" in XP Service Pack 3.
What I can do is to trick my Windows XP SP3 into SP2. This is the step:
Click Start => Run => type Regedit and looking for:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlWindows
Find CSDVersion Key
Legend:
100 (hex) means its SP1
200 (hex) means its SP2
300 (hex) means its SP3
Changes CSDVersion from 300 to 200 and Restart
Now installed kb888111xp2.exe (Microsoft UAA Patch) and turn back CSDVersion to 300. After Restart you can install device drivers hotfix.
3) Install Conexant Audio Driver 3.91.0.0
Get it Here
Right now new problem will rise. Checked at Device Manager there is Yellow Mark - Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus was not installed.
Sound is working as per normal by the way. But when connected a HDMI cable from my laptop to LCD TV, the video is there but the sound is only heard from the laptop and not from TV.
Don't worry, the solution is just installed latest NVIDIA driver.
4) Install NVIDIA Driver 266.58 or later.
Get it here
Voila! all ready to serve me :)
